Operating system	Windows 98 or better
Browsers	Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x. To download the plug-in, click on the appropriate link below, then select "Run this program from current location":
Pop-Up Blockers	Pop-up blockers must be disabled. You will need to disable, or work with your local IT department to disable, any pop-up blockers that may be installed on your machine.
Flash Player Plug-in	We are currently in the process of updating Tyco courses to work with Flash Player 9. *Performance Matters and eTools* courses have been updated to work with Flash 9. If you are taking a course other than Performance Matters or eTools that uses Flash to present course content and you have version 9 of the Flash Player installed you may encounter an issue with the course. In this case you may want to install Flash Player 8. Click here for instructions.
Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM)	You will need to work with your local IT department to install and enable the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine. NOTE: The Sun Java Virtual Machine may work in some instances however we highly recommend using the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine.
Macromedia Shockwave	Macromedia Shockwave must be installed. http://sdc.shockwave.com/shockwave To download a plug-in, click on the appropriate link below, then select "Run this program from current location":
Adobe Acrobat Reader	Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
CPU type/size	Pentium2 366MHZ or better
RAM	128 MB minimum
CD/DVD	Only required in special cases
Display size/resolution	800x600 minimum (Some courses may be designed at 1024 X 768 if the target population can support it)
Color	256K – 32-Bit minimum
Speakers/headphones	Built-in speakers or Headphones
Sound card	Windows compatible
Video card	16 MB minimum
Media player/video software	Windows Media 8 & 9
Bandwidth restrictions	56Kbps minimum bandwidth should be assumed for courses with no audio or video. 64Kbps should be assumed for courses with audio. 256Kbps minimum bandwidth should be assumed for courses with video. (A high bandwidth, low bandwidth option for courses with extensive audio or video should be considered when the audience includes people with low bandwidth connections.)
Centra Webinars	Webinars must be installed.
